today fidelio can find taair in the candy kingdom town in fascination, peering at the decorations on one of the gingerbread house and... probably embarrassingly (for him at least) leaning in to like, sniff it to make sure it smells like candy. this is all actually candy....
his emotions are radiating easily - fascination, curiosity, and a childlike sense of wonder that's hard to miss, all wrapped up in something warm with the slightest undertones of something distantly, a little sad. but that's really only if you squint.
in actuality, he realizes he has company, looks back, and beams - his emotions do a ping of !! excitement and immediate warmth. ]
Why, good day, Fidelio! Every week, I think that surely the wonders of the week before cannot be topped, and then, here we are.
[ there's a little bit of trepidation and dread souring the otherwise happy and warm feelings as he looks at the surroundings with markedly less delight. (even if he doesn't actually hate the aesthetic.) ]
Definitely does seem like somethin' out of a fairy tale, this place.
[ aw. there's a little blip of sadness again - the thought makes him miss ellie, but there's warmth to it too, as he steps back from the window to smile at fidelio, folding his hands behind his back. ]
I wish there were people around. Candy or otherwise - I would love to ask them questions about living like this. This is someone's version of heaven, after all.
[ he says with a hum - there's a glimmer of brightness in his emotions, the spark of curiosity and knowledge that burns as warm as a candle. ]
When I explored the library with Miss Neverah, we managed to find the heavenly archives. I probably spent a bit too long there reading everything I could, and while there wasn't any information to help our current situation, there were records of places that were specifically designed for the comfort of Heavenly arrivals.
So... I think this place could easily be something like that. Someone, somewhere out there, thinks heavens should be a place where the walls are made of candy - whether that's a fantasy, or because it's their day to day life.
Isn't that amazing? [ the spark blooms outwards, warm, genuinely flush with the wonder of a thousand perspectives, a thousand new places. the moments before things go badly here are when things do feel like paradise. ] Either someone felt this was paradise, or... somewhere out there, there's a whole world that functions like this, where the structures are made of sugar and the animals are made of cake.
