What, so everyone in town is "magically inclined"?
[ funny they bothered to specify, then, but... seeing how happy taair is about this, he doesn't really want to bring the mood down with his tendency to look for the dark cloud under the glare of the silver lining, especially when it's a moot point in an empty town.
he smiles down as taair looks up, thinking with some fondness how goofy this must look as he brushes a stray strand of hair from his eyes. ]
That sounds real nice, yeah. Nothin' like that in our world either, obviously.
Apparently there are two realms - a magical realm, and a human realm. As far as I can tell, this school would be in the magical. I couldn't tell if they've any access to each other normally... but, I could certainly find out with more research.
[ hehe. it's seeming like another week of taair burying himself in these nerdy locations if this is any indication; his smile warms when fidelio moves his hair, matching in fondness briefly. it is a very goofy angle indeed. too many chins! but that just kind of adds to it. Ah, this is nice. ]
I won't bore you too much with the gory details of it, but it appears to be biological. [ a hum. ] Though, I remember seeing in your memory - you had magical talents too, no? I wonder if we could learn how to utilize it here, together.
...Oh, the barrier, you mean? That weren't a talent, just a spell from one of the igniters I had on me. That's their whole thing, that they let people use magic when they couldn't otherwise.
[ his thoughts jumble a bit, visibly - he can see 'Miss Eupha and magic and magla?. clearly someone has been learning a bit about this, too, but...
he tilts his head back up again, regarding fidelio thoughtfully. ]
...My point still stands, I think. [ He would be very good at it. he thinks, barely even paying attention to it - taking stock of the kind of person that fidelio is, it comes to mind unbidden.] Perhaps things in your world are a bit different, but - well, we've many worlds and realms worth of knowledge at our fingertips. Even this system in this book is different than what I know.
I would be happy to share what I know. And... I would be happy to learn something new alongside you, too. [ ... ] If you would like to, of course.
[ well... he supposes he theoretically did have the capability to awaken his own archetype, given what he knows of that, so maybe it's not that far fetched. if this place will allow for that, anyway. ]
You think it'll actually work? It's not turned off like the magic from other worlds? I mean, it'd be pretty rude to give us all this without any way to use it, but it wouldn't surprise me either.
[ he has so little faith in this place. ]
...But yeah. It'd be nice to give it a try, at least. Reckon you'd make a good teacher.
...Well! Admittedly, I....didn't think that far ahead. [ taair,
he says it with a laugh, though, soft and light, finally tilting his head back to look at the book again. ] But... perhaps with some creativity, we can figure something out. We've got this odd little trick with our minds this week, after all.
[ there's a pause - still looking at the book, his expression softens a little. ] ...Do you really think so? That I'd be an alright teacher.
Yeah, of course. You know a lot, you get really invested in the subject matter, and you love sharin' with people. Seems like a pretty perfect job for you, aside from the stayin' in one place part.
[ genuinely - because this is very sweet, and it softens his smile, gaze focused on the book. ]
... The truth is... for the first time in my life, I am beginning to think about the future for myself with hope as opposed to trepidation. I feel as though my fate has gone from a straight, narrow tunnel to a wide open plain - and I am beyond thankful for it, but it feels... almost overwhelming, somehow.
I don't know exactly what path I want to take yet, nor do I even have a clear idea yet of what paths might exist. [ I've never had freedom to think about it, before this. ] I know that I want to travel, and finish my book, but... now I've whole other universes to consider, let alone my own home.
So... I want to try to take as many ideas of it into consideration as I can.
