It's something I've always wanted to do - and I've only been able to do so once.

To be able to sit around a fire, laughing and talking with friends, sharing food and drink, and sharing stories... that sort of thing is one of my greatest dreams. It's a simple one, but a dream, nonetheless.

Yes. We would light a big bonfire and dance and make merry well into the night. And on special occasions, we'd burn a great effigy of the Dragon God and offer our prayers and wishes.
Those who set sail on such evenings would be able to see our island even as the night darkens and their ship drifts far into the distance.
And for the sailors, too - to know that their home cheered for them even as it disappeared onto the horizon... I can only imagine how heartening that must have been.
