Well, I don't have it memorized, at least.

I read that it was apparently the site of an ancient aqueduct, the one that supposedly supplied the best water to all of Rome. The name comes from "tre" and "vie", which means "three roads" - it was the heart of three very important roads in that city.

The fountain was built thousands of years ago, but in the - ah, this is so far - In the 17th century, the leader of the Church here had the structure commissioned and held a contest to find the best architect in all of the lands to build it.

He ended up unable to complete it though, and another artist picked it up, and then another - it took a total of thirty years to complete. Despite it being commissioned by the Church, the statues on the fountain are designed after a pagan religion that was common in the city long, long ago.

...Oh! Interestingly, there's also a legend about tossing coins in the water.

It’s the Roman gods, right…? Because of the Roman Empire. I remember a little about them, though I think Iris liked the Greek versions better... [ which is not the point. anyway. ] Weird that they’d use that instead of their own religion.
