It's all right to be curious. I expected that and worse when I ventured beyond the islands for the first time.

Yes... yes, it is. I'm not sure that the mustari are a people of Rodinia, or that there may even be much of an equivalent, either...

[ so he finds this fascinating. it's from the point of view of genuine curiosity, too. ]

Are your people quite isolated, Miss Eupha? You said ventured for the first time.

Yes. On the mainland, we are considered pagans, practitioners of a faith condemned by Sanctism. Our island is the one place where we are free to worship openly and in peace. To preserve our way of life, we have very little contact with outsiders.

[ his face falls a little with that. ] I see. I wish that I could say I'd never heard of such a thing, before, but... such is not the case.

But... I suppose it does make it exciting, to be able to stride out into the world, doesn't it? There is much to learn - though, I imagine you likely have faced judgement, as well...

Yes, it is exciting! [ With enthusiasm. ] Truthfully, I never dreamed I would be able to do such a thing. Facing the judgment of strangers is a price I am happy to pay to be able to see new places and meet new people.

Yes - yes, I know the exact feeling! It's wonderful, isn't it? It is by far my favorite thing about being here, so far, as well. I feel as though there are so many things to learn from all of you that I hardly know where to start.
