[ it's hard to really feel that way, anymore. the heavens should have made that better, but it's made things worse - if there's a single lesson that has been repeated to him, over and over and over, it is that he will never, ever, ever escape. dying wasn't the way out - over and over again, he has been chewed up and spat out and reminded that his goal was always redemption. to be redeemed in the eyes of the radiant. to fix the mistakes he made by daring to think that he could be allowed to have any freedom at all. he couldn't escape in death, he couldn't escape in his brief skip to convallaria town. there is no escaping.

Well. That is the point of this, isn't it? To have a chance to try again. Perhaps I will find another path, indeed.
