[ we are in the clothing store! it just seems right.
charlie can find taair, who is no longer a sexy angel perusing the racks at the store! he pulls out something, a green otufit, and makes a surprised, delighted noise to himself. ]
These are... Vlderian traditional clothes! Aren't they? No, no, it couldn't be - but the design's right, at least from the books, and the accoutrements, too... I can't believe I get to see them in person!
[ who is he talking to. who knows but he sounds like he's having a good time? come investigate. ] I wonder if they have anything from Iria...?
[ ah!! a familiar voice. he pauses in what is essentially being a nerd to look back, and then brightens at the sight of a dear new friend. ]
Why, hello, Charlie! You know, I'd thought I might try to at least find some sleep clothes, but I think I may have gotten distracted - but I would love for your company, and... oh!
[ oh!!! as his attention goes to her little buddy... her friend!!! cute! ] A friend of yours?
[ the blep is so cute... he holds his hand out for sniffs, maybe? taair's animal handling is like disney princess levels of animal handling.
but once he's greeted her hardworking bodyguard, he nods about the shopping. ] I'll have to take your word for it! I've never really been shopping, before.
[ cute. he takes this advice with utmost seriousness, and immediately scritches him around his horns with his free hand. what a good baby.
as for the question, he sets the outfit he was holding down, and glances down at his fancy boy clothes. ]
That sounds wonderful - ah. Well, I've always worn them like this...? It's the style my family often wore, so... so long as it isn't as, ah. Bare as what we were in yesterday, I think I'll be alright. I trust your judgement.
<[ blep intensifies!!!! he is a happy goat demon thing ]
Yes, our outfits yesterday were quite.... um... uncomfortable. [ yikes ] But, do you have anything that stands out? We can pick together, especially if you like something. Don't be shy.
[ charlie is in a cute red sundress!! her hooves are out.... she sees taiir and approaches, getting a bit in his personal bubble. her devil tail idly brushes against his leg, in that affectionate way cats do sometimes ]
taair looks briefly suprised by the tail, glancing down - but! he smiles at charlie when she comes closer anyway. thank you affection week for settling the catholic a bit. ]
Good day, Charlie. [ a proper greeting as always, but after a moment, he looks more thoughtful ] A fine question in light of our circumstances.
To me.... I suppose redemption means not only coming to an understanding of what you've done, but its consequences, and how it might have impacted others with different perspectives than you. Bringing any truths to light, even if they're hard truths, and then working to better yourself and show change.
[ the tail brushing is brief, but she remains in his personal bubble ]
It's good to see you, Taiir.
[ she greets him in return, then pauses to consider his answer. this, she doesn't take notes on, it seems like it was just a question for her to think about ]
That's a very good answer. I do wonder if the God here sees it the same way....
[ when is ay this is so nice. he doesn't mind it at all, just smiling fondly at her over it - and his head tilts at the end, thoughtful. ]
From what the angels said, it seems as if our paths to 'redemption' may be quite individualized. How do you see it, Charlie? If you don't mind my asking.
Well.... at my hotel, we accept anyone who wants to better themselves. We do all sorts of exercises to help them work towards redemption--- like trust exercises, sharing our feelings, even games sometimes. That sort of thing.
No, the redemption has been going wonderfully. My patrons are really special people.
... It's just that Heaven... my Heaven, doesn't want to believe redemption for sinners is possible. They think once you die, that's it. If you're in Hell, you deserve to suffer and die by their hand.
I see... [ that... is unfortunate. he frowns, free hand coming to his chin. ]
I quite prefer your method. [ that first, an aside. but anyway. ] Do you think perhaps it is just because enough other worlds may believe that redemption is plausible that it balances out? I know the concepts of other worlds is a lot - it certainly is to me, too - but that... could be a potential reason...?
Ah... yes. It does seem too good to be true, doesn't it? We still have questions that remain unanswered - questions that are very large.
[ like what the heck the 'work' will actually be. we know but they don't. ] It is certainly possible... if that were the case, what would you do, Charlie?
Oh - how inspiring, Charlie. [ genuinely!!! ] To have an expert on such things - if it does turn out poorly, then, I think we will all be bettered for having you here. If you need any support...
Oh, I wouldn't say inspiring, but thank you. And of course I'll appreciate your support. Not just in the worst case scenario, but... to help everyone with redemption. Relying on each other is one of your greatest tools.
[ POWERFUL!!!! he will absolutely let her, yes - he's far less skittish about touch than he was all those weeks ago. ]
Oh, Charlie. Things have been difficult, of course, yet I feel as though there are still so very many parts of our time and experience here I could call paradise. None so much as having all of you returned back to us once more.
I want to hear all about your time, too - I've missed your presence quite fiercely.

Taiir, hello! Are you shopping? Do you mind if I join you?
[ she will listen to him talk about clothing all day ]

Why, hello, Charlie! You know, I'd thought I might try to at least find some sleep clothes, but I think I may have gotten distracted - but I would love for your company, and... oh!
[ oh!!! as his attention goes to her little buddy... her friend!!! cute! ] A friend of yours?

[ and also at an actual clothing store with cute clothes where nothing is on fire. this is a new and novel experience ]
This is my bodyguard, Razzle! Say hello, Razzle.
[ razzle bleps at taair. wow ]
no subject
[ the blep is so cute... he holds his hand out for sniffs, maybe? taair's animal handling is like disney princess levels of animal handling.

He likes being scratched around his horns. [ in an exaggerated whisper, with a wink ]
Well, you and I can fulfill that right now! What kind of outfits do you like? Let's grab some for you to try on!
no subject
as for the question, he sets the outfit he was holding down, and glances down at his fancy boy clothes. ]

[ anything he wants to wear... ]
no subject
Hmm... [ and after a little while, he digs around through the clothes and makes a soft noise, pulling out a shirt! ] Oh - this is nice, isn't it...?
[ obediently, he turns it around and holds it up to charlie to examine too. ]
no subject
[ as soon as he shows her, she lights up like a christmas tree. this thread is just an excuse for you to show me all your fit checks ]
Oh, I think it would really suit you! Here, let me carry it while you pick out something to go with it.
no subject
Oh - well, alright! But, will you pick something out for yourself as well? I'd hardly want to hog it!
no subject
Oh, of course! I just wanted to let you get a few outfits to try on first.
[ but she looks through the tuxedos, hmm ]
no subject
[ right!! this is how people are supposed to do the shopping thing. he nods, and will go pick out a few other items - there's definitely a theme here.
curiously, he peers over at charlie's selection, and makes a little noise. you gotta show me fits too!! ] Oh! That looks nice.
no subject
[ okay here are a few ]
I wonder if I should try different colors....
week 0, monday
Say.... what does redemption mean to you?

taair looks briefly suprised by the tail, glancing down - but! he smiles at charlie when she comes closer anyway. thank you affection week for settling the catholic a bit. ]

Bringing any truths to light, even if they're hard truths, and then working to better yourself and show change.
Something like that?

[ the tail brushing is brief, but she remains in his personal bubble ]
It's good to see you, Taiir.
[ she greets him in return, then pauses to consider his answer. this, she doesn't take notes on, it seems like it was just a question for her to think about ]

From what the angels said, it seems as if our paths to 'redemption' may be quite individualized. How do you see it, Charlie? If you don't mind my asking.
no subject
Yes, I think redemption does depend heavily on the individual... it makes sense.
Well. I guess I have some... concerns about this whole process. But I do believe strongly in redemption. It's what my hotel was about, back in Hell.
no subject
[ taair brightens a little at the mention of that, squeezing her hand excitedly. ]
How so? Will you tell me?
no subject
Well.... at my hotel, we accept anyone who wants to better themselves. We do all sorts of exercises to help them work towards redemption--- like trust exercises, sharing our feelings, even games sometimes. That sort of thing.
[ slightly strained smile ]
no subject
... I take it that's been rather difficult?
no subject
... It's just that Heaven... my Heaven, doesn't want to believe redemption for sinners is possible. They think once you die, that's it. If you're in Hell, you deserve to suffer and die by their hand.
[ awkward ]

I know the concepts of other worlds is a lot - it certainly is to me, too - but that... could be a potential reason...?
no subject
[ she also prefers rehabilitation over murder, it's true ]
... Ah... maybe. That's something I've never considered before. Other dimensions and all. [ she still seems put out ]
no subject
If you'd like to talk about it, I'll happily listen, my dear friend.
[ tell him your woes charlie. let it out girl. ]
no subject
... I just hope that this all isn't a trick, that you're being taken advantage of.
no subject
Ah... yes. It does seem too good to be true, doesn't it? We still have questions that remain unanswered - questions that are very large.
[ like what the heck the 'work' will actually be. we know but they don't. ] It is certainly possible... if that were the case, what would you do, Charlie?
no subject
Exactly. And I'm not sure how this God can return you all to mortal life.
Well.
[ her expression darkens... though they are still holding hands ]
I wouldn't stand for that.
no subject
Oh - how inspiring, Charlie. [ genuinely!!! ] To have an expert on such things - if it does turn out poorly, then, I think we will all be bettered for having you here. If you need any support...

Oh, I wouldn't say inspiring, but thank you. And of course I'll appreciate your support. Not just in the worst case scenario, but... to help everyone with redemption. Relying on each other is one of your greatest tools.
no subject
And what about you, Charlie?
[ "your redemption" "relying on others"... ]
Don't tell me you hope to exclude yourself...?
no subject
[ and she's not sure she could ever redeem herself, especially in in heaven's eyes ]
You see, um. I need to go back to Hell.
week 7, monday
It's so good to see you again! How've you been?
