[ charlie is in a cute red sundress!! her hooves are out.... she sees taiir and approaches, getting a bit in his personal bubble. her devil tail idly brushes against his leg, in that affectionate way cats do sometimes ]
taair looks briefly suprised by the tail, glancing down - but! he smiles at charlie when she comes closer anyway. thank you affection week for settling the catholic a bit. ]
Good day, Charlie. [ a proper greeting as always, but after a moment, he looks more thoughtful ] A fine question in light of our circumstances.
To me.... I suppose redemption means not only coming to an understanding of what you've done, but its consequences, and how it might have impacted others with different perspectives than you. Bringing any truths to light, even if they're hard truths, and then working to better yourself and show change.
[ the tail brushing is brief, but she remains in his personal bubble ]
It's good to see you, Taiir.
[ she greets him in return, then pauses to consider his answer. this, she doesn't take notes on, it seems like it was just a question for her to think about ]
That's a very good answer. I do wonder if the God here sees it the same way....
[ when is ay this is so nice. he doesn't mind it at all, just smiling fondly at her over it - and his head tilts at the end, thoughtful. ]
From what the angels said, it seems as if our paths to 'redemption' may be quite individualized. How do you see it, Charlie? If you don't mind my asking.
Well.... at my hotel, we accept anyone who wants to better themselves. We do all sorts of exercises to help them work towards redemption--- like trust exercises, sharing our feelings, even games sometimes. That sort of thing.
No, the redemption has been going wonderfully. My patrons are really special people.
... It's just that Heaven... my Heaven, doesn't want to believe redemption for sinners is possible. They think once you die, that's it. If you're in Hell, you deserve to suffer and die by their hand.
I see... [ that... is unfortunate. he frowns, free hand coming to his chin. ]
I quite prefer your method. [ that first, an aside. but anyway. ] Do you think perhaps it is just because enough other worlds may believe that redemption is plausible that it balances out? I know the concepts of other worlds is a lot - it certainly is to me, too - but that... could be a potential reason...?
Ah... yes. It does seem too good to be true, doesn't it? We still have questions that remain unanswered - questions that are very large.
[ like what the heck the 'work' will actually be. we know but they don't. ] It is certainly possible... if that were the case, what would you do, Charlie?
Oh - how inspiring, Charlie. [ genuinely!!! ] To have an expert on such things - if it does turn out poorly, then, I think we will all be bettered for having you here. If you need any support...
Oh, I wouldn't say inspiring, but thank you. And of course I'll appreciate your support. Not just in the worst case scenario, but... to help everyone with redemption. Relying on each other is one of your greatest tools.
week 0, monday
Say.... what does redemption mean to you?

Something like that?

no subject
Yes, I think redemption does depend heavily on the individual... it makes sense.
Well. I guess I have some... concerns about this whole process. But I do believe strongly in redemption. It's what my hotel was about, back in Hell.

[ taair brightens a little at the mention of that, squeezing her hand excitedly. ]
How so? Will you tell me?

Well.... at my hotel, we accept anyone who wants to better themselves. We do all sorts of exercises to help them work towards redemption--- like trust exercises, sharing our feelings, even games sometimes. That sort of thing.
[ slightly strained smile ]

... I take it that's been rather difficult?

[ she also prefers rehabilitation over murder, it's true ]
... Ah... maybe. That's something I've never considered before. Other dimensions and all. [ she still seems put out ]
no subject
If you'd like to talk about it, I'll happily listen, my dear friend.
[ tell him your woes charlie. let it out girl. ]
no subject
... I just hope that this all isn't a trick, that you're being taken advantage of.

Ah... yes. It does seem too good to be true, doesn't it? We still have questions that remain unanswered - questions that are very large.
[ like what the heck the 'work' will actually be. we know but they don't. ] It is certainly possible... if that were the case, what would you do, Charlie?
no subject
Exactly. And I'm not sure how this God can return you all to mortal life.
Well.
[ her expression darkens... though they are still holding hands ]
I wouldn't stand for that.

And what about you, Charlie?
[ "your redemption" "relying on others"... ]
Don't tell me you hope to exclude yourself...?
no subject
[ and she's not sure she could ever redeem herself, especially in in heaven's eyes ]
You see, um. I need to go back to Hell.
